Share your experiences and get to know other women in positions similar to your own. How did you come to be your family's primary earner? Is it a long-term or short-term situation? When has it been most difficult for you to balance work and home? Have you made any significant changes, or experienced any pivotal events that really stick out as part of your "breadwinning mom" story?

This forum is a space to share your challenges, strategies, opportunities, concerns and reflections on balancing your career and motherhood. What has surprised you most about this juggling act? What has been easy? What has been difficult? At what stages of your children's lives? And what about housework? Is it a battleground? Which parts? What do you delegate, and what do you insist on (or end up) doing yourself?

For many of you, being a breadwinning mom isn't only about you and your kids. If you have a partner, your role as the primary earner can affect them too. This forum is a space for you to share stories and ask questions about your relationships. If you have a husband or male partner, how does he feel about your income supporting the family? Do you feel like your partner understands what it's like to be in your shoes? Are you happy with the way things are?

Now that you're here, you can choose any of the forums or topics and contribute to them however you like. If you want to talk about something that doesn't seem to "fit" with any of the existing forums, post it here (click "new topic" or "reply" to someone else's post) and we'll set up a new space for you to connect with other users about that issue.
Not sure where to start? Try "Your Story"--it's a great forum in which to introduce yourself to other members and read about other women's experiences.
